About

Paypal & shows
Yesterday I have attended the Wentworth Park Antiques Fair and for a first time, I feel it was a success. There was a lot of interest in my material and I have made some contacts. The show itself is an impressively-sized convention of all things antique, camp and collectable. It is well worth the visit, even though, you might not know what you want. The next one will be on Sunday August 10.
In other news, I have installed and started testing a Paypal hookup for my store. You may now (in theory) be able to purchase from this site, whether you have an account or not. Non-Paypal users will be prompted for their date of birth, which is annoying, but that information goes to them not to me.
If you encounter any problems, please contact me.

Old Website
(Now that I'm reminded, I've had a website since I was 19) I am archiving the old website for now, as I cannot afford the effort to fix the multiple issues that have developed there over time. I intend to come back to coding the core functionality of it and expand it for use here. One idea, among many, is a sales index for popular coins such as the Red Poppy.

SCDAA, markets & more
I am pleased to announce that I have been accepted into Stamp and Coin Dealers Association of Australasia Inc (SCDAA). As part of that I hope to at some stage, hopefully this year, be attending the Petersham Stamp & Coin Fair, for which there is a waiting queue.
The next show will be at 107 Crystal St, Petersham NSW on Sunday June 29, 2025. Petersham shows are generally held on every 5th Sunday of any calendar month that year.
In the meantime, I'll be attending the Newcastle Coins, Notes and Stamps Fair as a stall-holder. This show is on Sunday April 20, Pioneer Memorial Hall, 54 Cowper St, Wallsend NSW and is generally held every 3rd Sunday of the month.
I am in the process of updating this site to take advantage of a modern e-sales engine, which will greatly enhance the look and feel. I'm not too far away from launching it now, probably a month.
I continue to hold regular Ebay Auctoins. Please check in every week to see what's new. While I emphasize world coins and banknotes, there is always plenty of Australian material also.

The beginning
I lost my IT consulting business right about COVID time in early 2020. It wasn't COVID's fault, but it nonetheless hurt. I was already dealing in coins at the time. Coins were my passion since I was a boy. I still have the first coin that I collected in my album. 1952 20k USSR Y# 118. There is nothing special about it, other than it is my first coin.
I found work for a local coin shop and one of the jobs I had to do was list a large number of graded coins for sale or auction. So, being a developer by trade, I wrote about 1000 lines of code to scrape PCGS coins, notes and NGC coins and return coin descriptions and values. Only PCGS coins are functional right now.
I'm temporarily offering you this app for free. There are many issues yet to be fixed, but I intend to monerise this mess once I have some time to tidy it up. Please note that login and signup probably don't work. Please contact me if you have any thoughts.
